Who the service lists as eligible
- The service is available to a Motswana.
- A non-citizen is listed as eligible with the consent of the Minister responsible for Land Management.
- Registered companies and societies are also listed.
Starting the transfer
- The applicant completes the government Application for Transfer of Land Rights form.
- The government page says the plot should be fully developed; where it is not, the applicant should provide a reasonable justification for the proposed transfer.
Documents identified by the service
- Certified copies of valid Omang documents for both parties and the original certificate of grant or lease agreement are listed.
- The list includes proof of the applicable marriage-property regime, and a decree absolute or court order where relevant.
- Additional records are identified for circumstances involving bereavement, disability, companies, societies and representation by another person.
